The New Apple Art Festival announces a call to artists. We give each artist who submits a JPEG of a painting a thumbnail
of their artwork in the New Apple Site with a link to their web site. We accept applications from artists all year
long.
NAAF is dedicated to showcasing and promoting the finest visual artists in the country.
The festival will be ongoing. Every submission will be exhibited in our online gallery. (Unless unsuitable for the
general viewing audience)
There is a one time only $45 submission
fee per JPEG payable through PAYPAL. This fee guarantees inclusion in the New Apple Art Gallery, a thubnail of your
artwork ($45 per) with a link to your site. Go to art submission page for details.
We are proud and honored to have an advisory board consisting of major art dealers, established artists, and art
enthusiasts.
The advisory board and gallery curators will pick the artists from the online gallery to be added to our affiliate
artist list. The individual curators from the various NYC venues will select the art they want to show from both the affiliate
artists pages and the New Apple Art Gallery for either one person shows or group shows.
Beginning June 2008 we will upload the art submissions into our online gallery. We will update the
gallery each week. All of the submissions will be shown on our New Apple Art Festival gallery pages. (unless of the nature
unsuitable for the general viewing audience) Our Advisory Board will choose the artists to join our affiliate artist group.
Where most juried art exhibitions only show in one gallery, we will show online and in different venues in NYC. Generally
the average gallery can show only 20 or so paintings chosen from hundreds of ubmissions. We will show
all submiossions online with a link to the artists web site. We will promote the art to galleries, collectors and
corporate buyers.
The festival will present art shows, arrange special
New York art openings to introduce the artists to their public, each year will have a closing awards ceremony, in which
awards will be presented to the artists.
The New Apple Art Festival will
give emerging and re-emerging artists exposure and is open to all artists at varying stages in their careers. Resumes and
exhibition histories are secondary to the process. The art is chosen strictly on its merit.
The New Apple Online Gallery will display every
suitable submission to galleries around the country, private collectors, patrons, or art lovers searching for that special
painting.
All of our exhibitions are juried
by our advisory board, gallery curators as well as you, the site visitor. When the gallery page is filled by December 2008,
we will ask all site visitors who have given us their email addresses to email your choice of the art we are to
add from the general thumbnail gallery exhibit to the special winner page on the New Apple site.
Via this system
we are helping expose new emerging artists to the art world of the twenty-first century, and also encouraging the
publics interest in the world of fine art. Since each piece of art shown on our site has a link to the artist web site, the
artist is in charge of handling their own sales. We do not participate in those transactions. Our participation will be in
taking a percentage when we arrange a gallery show. This will be negotiated with each individual artist and gallery.
